Furrer collaborates in 2006 to the completion of Quantas' splendid two first class lounges in Sydney and Melbourne. Experts in the design industry have often claimed they are the best first class lounges in the World, thanks to their luxurious décor and for the excliusive services provided for the passengers having the opportunity to enjoy them. The lead designer for this project is Marc Newson that designed both these style gems together with his associated architect Sébastien Segers from France.

Marc Newson also designed all the furniture and fittings for the lounges from scratch, commissioning their realisation from leading international craftsmen. Even the music was created specially to complete the atmosphere and complement the various different areas of the lounges. Huge walls of American oak separate the seating areas into defined spaces.

The materials used by Furrer for the completion of the project are Bianco Carrara Campanili marble and Statuario Venato marble (Vein Statuary marble), two precious and luxurious Italian marbles extracted from Furrer's own quarries in the Apuan Alps, elegant limestones that are able to offer atmosphere and style to every space.

A vertical garden designed by botanist Patrick Blanc provides a striking backdrop and divides the Spa's luxurious suites with their marble showers and exclusively sybaritic furniture, which includes leather loungers, armchairs and sofas by Poltrona Frau, chairs and tables by Cappellini, and splendid customised items in luxurious Furrer marble.
