The Ana Hotel, at 176 Cumberland Street in Sydney, is an exclusive Hotel set on one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Sydney harbour. Lucky guests have an unforgettable view of the harbour with its superb Opera House and majestic Harbour Bridge.
The Ana Hotel is part of the Shangrila Hotel chain and when it was renovated Furrer stepped in with a very special stone: Daino Reale.
This is a warm, elegant limestone quarried in Sardinia, with a characteristic colour determined by the presence of marine fossils of shells and coral. It is an elegant, soft shade of beige with excellent physical characteristics. Skilful use of this stone can be seen in the reception desk of the exclusive "CHI" spa, where it has been combined with all the warmth of mahogany to create a lavishly rich setting oozing style.
