The Silken Puerta América Hotel in Madrid communicates freedom in its purest form, a perfect fusion of different ideas about architecture and design. A masterpiece that stirs the senses of its guests, breaking the mould with a welter of colours, materials and shapes. A luxury 5star hotel that cocoons its guests in a space designed for dreams. Lead designer Marc Newson and associated architect Sébastien Segers were commissioned to create the massive Marmobar on the ground floor and 30 suites on the sixth floor. Originality, luxury, innovation and formal freedom, the best of avantgarde design and architecture, where creativity were given totally free rein. the actual bar unit itself is probably what reflects this spirit more than any other single element. Elegance and technology, the best possible way of using Statuario Venato marble from Carrara.
